ECUMENICAL MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL

"One holy, catholic and apostolic church"

About Us

Ecumenical Ministries International is an ecumenical religious organization of the Independent Sacramental Movement that runs ministries to reach out to our local communities. EMI is not a denomination, nor are we affiliated with any denomination.

Knowing that God loves all of God's children, we welcome all people to benefit from our churches and ministries regardless of race, class, creed, sect, sexual orientation, or any other reason not consistent with God's love for all.

Ecumenical Ministries International consists of the following ministries:

1.  Southern Cross Abbey - An abbey without walls that contains our  Benedictine community, with members from the traditional US southern states.  At present we have members in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.  Please click on "Southern Cross Abbey" on the grey menu bar to access our separate website.

2. Build His Churches Mission - A Ministry to train church planters and small faith group developers. We have a separate website for BHCM where you can find full details, including information about our online course in the establishment of multiple cell groups that can grow to form a church or parish.

Controversial Doctrinal Issues

Ecumenical Ministries International is inclusive in all its ministries.  For the sake of Christian unity, we refrain from the public voicing of criticisms at the national level on doctrinal issues which divide the Body of Christ.  Such expressions are the domain of the local member churches.  However, all member churches agree to respect the views of other members of Ecumenical Ministries International, to treat all with respect and charity, and to refrain from efforts to convert or persuade to one's own point of view.  We agree to work together while disregarding denominational differences.  In essentials unity, in non essentials diversity, in all things charity.
